• How To Become a Dispensing Technology IN PAKISTAN

  You need to follow a few steps

  Meet The Eligibility

  • 1 ^st Matric with Sciences (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) with Minimum 45% marks accumulative and individual in each subject.
  • 2 ^nd (unadjusted) and combined total of science subjects not less than 45%. Age: Maximum 35 years on the last date of applying for admission (both for Government/ Private candidate)
  • Dispensing Technology (DT)  in Pakistan has been approved by the Higher Education Commission. The degree is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. In addition, it is also acknowledged globally.

  Number of institutes offer Dispensing Technology (DT)

  • A number of institutes offer Dispensing Technology (DT) courses in Pakistan. These include  26 public sector institutes and 32 private sector colleges. In addition, the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) has granted 43 colleges the NOC to initiate their pharmacy courses.

  • Note: Only colleges that are approved by PCP can offer the pharmacy course. So, it is advisable for students doingb  Dispensing Technology (DT) to enroll themselves with PCP as well through their colleges.
• Significance of Course  Dispensing Technology (DT)
  • TThrough this course, you will be able to read doctors' prescriptions and efficiently handle a hospital dispensary. A dispenser plays the main role of dispensing medicine to patients, helping the doctors at their private clinics, and to the pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy.

  Scope in Pakistan  

  • Lot of dispensers in Pakistan are even practicing as medical doctors in remote areas. Some of them have also got DHMS diploma for adding prefix of doctor with their name and they are practicing as allopathic doctors. This practice is not recommended at all because you may earn lot of money even as a dispenser. A dispenser can get job in government sector hospitals. Dispensers can serve in private hospitals and clinics. They can visit homes for injecting injections and drips. Many dispensers are offering the same services through social media. Lot of government jobs are announced every year for dispenser diploma holders. They can join Pak army, navy and PAF. They may get jobs in 1122. NGO sector also recruits qualified dispensers or compounders for their various welfare projects in health sector. They may get jobs in medical labs which are offering home sampling service like Al-Khurshid labs. Sometimes pharmaceutical companies also offer jobs to dispensers.

  Role of Dispensing Technology (DT)

  • With many opportunities for studying radiology overseas, students can gain access to the best programs and medical equipment in the world. However, different countries have various healthcare and medical systems, so students must research before they choose which country to study. CANADA . DUBAI . Cyprus. Qatar and Kuwait are some examples having good opportunities you can work as a radiographer or technician in foreign hospitals and diagnosis center.

  Salary of Dispensing Technology

  • The salary of a Dispensing Technology is dependent on a person’s specialization, work experience, and capabilities. However, compared to the public sector, the private sector provides greater services and higher salaries. In Pakistan, the average monthly income for a Dispensing Technology is PKR 60,000.
